What this 4-year warranty period brings to the table is that consumers can stay stress-free about device-related issues even after the standard 1-year warranty. There are reports that the Moto S50 Neo will be rebranded as Moto G85 for global markets. However, it seems unlikely that Moto G85 will arrive with a 4-year warranty.
If the Moto S50 Neo is a rebrand of the Moto G85 5G, the specifications should be similar. It is tipped to sport a 6.6-inch FHD+ OLED curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. In comparison, the Moto G84 came with a smaller 6.55-inch display.
The handset is likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. This is the same setup seen on the Moto G84. The Moto G85 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC compared to the Snapdragon 695 SoC on the Moto G84. It is likely to boot Android 14 OS out of the box.
The Moto S50 Neo is also likely to feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 OIS-enabled primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. Again, this is a similar setup as the Moto G84. We get a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies.
The Moto S50 Neo is expected to come in Black, Green, and Blue colours.
