Moto G85 launch in India
Moto G85 is scheduled to launch in India on July 10th. The launch date has been revealed on Amazon confirming its availability on the e-commerce platform. We know the specifications and features of the Moto G85 since the phone has already been launched globally.
Moto G85 specifications
The Moto G85 features a 6.67-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1600 nits brightness. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC with Adreno 619 GPU for graphics. It comes with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage further expandable via microSD card. Motorola has revealed the G85 will come with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage in India.
The new Moto phone has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a depth camera. There’s a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. On the software front, the Moto G85 runs Android 14-based My UX custom skin out of the box. It also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 30W turbocharging. The Moto G85 also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Moto G85 will succeed the Moto G84 launched in India last year in September. It’s a mid-range phone priced at Rs 19,999 so the Moto G85 is also expected to cost somewhere around the same. If we talk about upgrades, we’re getting a larger 6.67-inch display compared to the 6.55-inch on the Moto G84. The chipset has been changed from the Snapdragon 695 to the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 although this doesn’t seem like a upgrade.
The front camera has been upgraded from a 16MP to a 32MP on the Moto G85. The rest of the specifications are more or less the same.
