LG India has launched five new soundbars from its 2024 lineup. These soundbars come with Dolby Atmos, AI-based sound calibration for the room and the company’s WOW interface for an expanded soundstage. There are a few more such proprietary features on these new LG soundbars. Let’s check them out and also gather their price and availability details.
LG 2024 soundbars price and availability
The newly launched LG soundbars are S65TR, SQ70TY, SQ75TR, S77TY and SG10Y. The LG 2024 soundbars start at Rs 29,990 and will be available through LG.com, offline and online retail stores.
LG 2024 soundbars features
- Sound channel: The S65TR supports 5.1.2 surround sound, the LG SQ70TY supports 3.1.1 channel, the SQ75TR supports 5.1.1 channel, the S77TY features 3.1.3 channel, and the SG10Y has 3.1 sound channel.
- WOW Orchestra: These LG soundbars can automatically connect with compatible TVs (thanks to a feature called WOWCAST) and audio from both sources can be played in tandem for an expanded soundstage.
With the LG SG10Y soundbar, WOWCAST enables lossless multi-channel audio transmission.
Since this happens wirelessly, you can have a tidier setup.
You can control the soundbar settings with your TV remote on the TV screen through the WOW Interface.
- AI Sound Pro: The 2024 LG soundbars can auto-calibrate sound settings to match the type of content you are watching.
- Design: These soundbars have a sleek form factor and can act complementary to your LG TV setup. For example, LG suggests the LG SQ70TY for LG QNED TVs. They can be placed below the TVs using wall brackets.
The use of recycled plastic components also makes these LG soundbars eco-friendly. - Audio standards: The LG’s 2024 lineup supports sound backed by standards like Dolby Atmos Dolby Digital, DTS Digital, and DTS: X.
- Other features: The models S65TR and SQ75TR can produce sound up to 600 watts. The models SQ70TY and S77TY have 400W and the SG10TY has 420W. They all have 1 HDMI in and out each. Besides the S65TR, all others support VRR/ALLM with compatible TVs. Only the LG SG10Y features AI Room Calibration that can automatically scan other speakers in the room and fine-tune the volume and latency. The LG SQ70TY supports a Center Up-firing Channel and Triple Level Spatial Sound.
