Lava recently unveiled its first-ever 5G smartphone, dubbed Lava Agni 5G, in India. The Lava Agni 5G runs on MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor and has a 90Hz refresh rate display. It is quite common for us to see various smartphone brands trying to promote their smartphones and pitching them to be the best by comparing them with devices launched by rival brands. While this has kind of become the norm, Lava has tried to pull off something that might not sit well with a lot of individuals. Turns out, Lava is offering Realme 8s users to “Choose a Side” and get a Lava Agni 5G smartphone in exchange for their existing Realme 8s.

Lava has unveiled a new scheme that will potentially allow Realme 8s users to own a Lava Agni 5G if they give up their Realme 8s. The exchange offer will last till January 7th, 2022 and if you feel that the Lava Agni 5G is going to be a better device for you when compared with the Realme 8s, you can avail of this offer from Lava’s official website. The offer is valid for both the 6GB, as well as the 8GB variant of the Realme 8s. To make the exchange decision ‘easier’ for potential customers, the brand has even put out a comparison chart:
Now, whether or not one likes this scheme is entirely an individual preference and thought process, but as someone who tried to stay connected to the world of technology, I would hope that the comparisons between smartphones, the competition, and such exchange offers nonetheless, stick to the core values and ethics of technology and anyone who wants to make an exchange should only do so if they feel that the Lava Agni 5G is a better choice when compared with the Realme 8s and not because of a geographical sentiment.
