Besides gearing up to launch the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G in India later this month, the company is working on the iQOO Z8 series for China. The new lineup could have multiple models and will arrive as mid-range offerings. According to a recent report, the iQOO Z8 will debut around early September in China. Now, ahead of the announcement, the iQOO Z8 specifications have surfaced online, courtesy of tipster DigitalChatStation.
iQOO Z8 specifications (expected)
- Display: iQOO Z8 is tipped to sport a 6.64-inch FHD+ LCD display with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, 2388 X 1080 pixels resolution and a higher refresh rate.
- Processor: The handset is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset.
- RAM and storage: 8GB/12GB of RAM paired with up to 512GB of storage. This means there could also be 129GB/256GB storage models.
- OS: The phone will run on Android 13-based OriginOS 3.0-custom skin out of the box.
- Battery: The phone could pack a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
- Cameras: As for the cameras, the iQOO Z8 is tipped to feature a 64MP primary sensor with OIS and a 2MP macro unit. There could be a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
- Colours: The Z8 is expected to arrive in three colours: black, blue, and green colours.
While the tipster hasn’t revealed the iQOO Z8 price, we can assume the iQOO Z8 will be priced in a similar range, if not slightly higher, as the Z7 at launch. The iQOO Z7 was priced at RMB 1,599 (approx Rs 18,400) in China when unveiled. We should learn more details about the iQOO Z8 when it launches, probably around early September.
