Several iPhone users have started reporting multiple alarming bugs on their iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 devices after the latest iOS 16 update.

The phone does not go to the home screen either. However, users seem to be able to summon the app switcher and even swipe up and down for the Control Center notifications. We have also independently experienced this issue on two of our devices (one being an iPhone 13 and the other being an iPhone 12 Pro Max), so there are chances that this bug is not limited to the iPhone 14 Pro devices.
Lately, a bunch of tweets reported a new green-screen nightmare for iPhone 13 users. Turns out, several users have started facing a weird green screen issue after updating their iPhone 13 to iOS 16. The device display is next to useless, as the only thing that's displayed is a solid green screen.
If you have encountered this bug and your device is under warranty, you are lucky, as you can get your iPhone 13 display replaced for free. People like the Twitter user Akash, however, don't share the same luck, as his iPhone 13 first showed the problem when it was still under warranty, started working again, and then completely shut off after the warranty had expired. If this is not bad luck, then what is?
Now, this one is more of a usual, annoying, but not fatal kind of bug. Apple recently added a tiny Search pill on the bottom of the iPhone displays. With the latest iOS 16.1 update, the shadow behind the pill widget appears and disappears rather abruptly. The report reveals that the bug is found on an iPhone 14 Pro device and an iPhone 13 device running the same iOS build does not seem to have this issue.
While these are some commonly reported bugs in the latest iOS 16 update, there could be more. One can only hope that Apple does address these issues and fix them with a follow-up update soon.
