HMD Skyline leaked render reveals Lumia-like design

  • According to a leaked render of what’s supposed to be the HMD Skyline, the design looks very similar to the old Nokia Lumia phones. In particular, it looks quite like the Nokia Lumia 920 with its bright yellow colour and boxy design.
  • The HMD Skyline has a punch-hole selfie camera with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has very sharp edges and slightly thicker bezels.
  • The leaked image also mentions the phone’s name suggesting that it’s an official teaser of the HMD Skyline. The possibility of HMD reviving the Lumia design is big as the brand teased such designs. HMD has also been reintroducing old phones like the Nokia 3210 2024 version that launched in May.

HMD Skyline specifications (expected)

HMD Skyline is tipped to feature an FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. It could feature a triple-camera setup with a 108MP primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a macro or depth sensor. For selfies, it might house a 32MP front camera. The HMD Skyline is also tipped to pack a 4,900mAh battery with 33W fast charging support and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

HMD is rumoured to launch the Skyline smartphone globally in July, and it could cost €520 (approx Rs 47,400) for the 8GB/256GB variant.

HMD Atlas specifications, design leaked

The same leaker has also revealed details about the HMD Atlas, another rumoured smartphone from the Finnish brand. It’s expected to feature a 6.64-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. HMD Atlas might be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage. It’s also tipped to sport a 48MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a depth sensor. It could also house a 16MP front camera.

HMD Atlas is rumoured to pack a 5,500mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 technology. It will also come with 5G, NFC, a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone is tipped to cost $239.99 for the 8GB+128GB variant. The HMD Atlas render has been shared too, and it shows a flat body with a punch-hole camera, curved edges and in an Olive Green shade.
