HMD is gearing up to launch its next batch of self-branded models.
While no other details about the phone are leaked at the moment, there are chances the device could be the previously codenamed Tomcat that was recently spotted on the Geekbench platform. If this is true, the phone could come with an FHD+ OLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The HMD Skyline aka Tomcat will likely boot Android 14 OS out of the box.
The phone could house three cameras, including a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro/depth sensor. There could be a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats and a 4,900mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The HMD phone could have an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, which suggests the phone could be a premium mid-range offering.
Besides the HMD SKyline, there is also a phone codenamed Nighthawk. This could be priced under €300 (approx Rs 27,300). This phone is rumoured to come with an FHD+ OLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout. The HMD phone would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. This model could have a 108MP main camera and a 32MP shooter on the front similar to HMD Skyline. The phone might house a 5000mAh battery and boot Android 14 OS.
