  • HMD Global is working on at least three devices: HMD Nighthawk, HMD Tomcat, and HMD Project Fusion.
  • The HMD Nighthawk is tipped to start at EUR 250 (Approx. Rs 22,500), while the Tomcat is said to start at EUR 400 (Approx. Rs 36,000).
  • The leaked specifications suggest that the HMD Project Fusion might be an entry-level device.

Last week, we learned that HMD Global is reportedly working on a new version of the Nokia Lumia. It seems like the company is gearing up to launch multiple smartphones, covering from entry-level to mid-range segment.

According to a post published by Nokiamob, the company is working on at least three devices: HMD Nighthawk, HMD Tomcat, and HMD Project Fusion. The post details specifications and pricing details of these smartphones. Let’s take a look at everything we know about these HDM devices so far.

HMD Nighthawk price, specifications (tipped)

The HMD Nighthawk might not be the final name of the device, but that doesn’t stop leakers from revealing its specifications and other details. In the leak, the smartphone resembles Nokia-branded phones from another era, albeit in a deeper red colour scheme.

HMD Nighthawk

It will flaunt an FHD+ AMOLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the size and other details of the display are still unknown. Under the hood, it will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage, suggesting it’s a fairly powerful device.

Besides this, it will feature a 5,000mAh battery, meaning you can expect a full-day battery life with moderate usage. Moreover, it will have a triple rear camera setup: 108MP OIS primary and 2MP secondary sensor and a 32MP snapper at the front for selfies and video calls. It will boot Android 14 OS out of the box.

Lastly, the device will come in two options: 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for EUR 250 (Approx. Rs 22,500) and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for EUR 290 (Approx. Rs 26,200). In this price range, it will compete against the OnePlus Nord CE 4, Infinix GT 20 Pro, and Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, which offer a significantly powerful chipset under the hood.

HMD Tomcat price, specifications (tipped)

The HMD Tomcat’s boxy form in a blue hue in a pair of renders brings back Nokia Lumia memories for those who remember the brand’s glory days. However, the details of the HMD Tomcat when compared to the HMD Nighthawk seem more interesting in the leak.

HMD Tomcat

Like the Nighthawk, the HMD Tomcat will also feature an FHD+ AMOLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it will draw power from a slightly powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

While it also ships with a 108MP primary sensor with a 2MP snapper, there is another 8MP sensor on the HMD Tomcat that you get with the Nighthawk. The selfie shooter, however, is the same as the Nighthawk, a 32MP snapper.

Surprisingly, the Tomcat will have a slightly smaller 4,900mAh battery with support for 33W charging. However, the device will feature NFC support and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, meaning you can use it in rain.

However, the device will start at EUR 400 (Approx. Rs 36,000) for the base 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model and EUR 440 (Approx. Rs 40,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

Not only does the Nighthawk seem more value for the money product than the Tomcat, but with the EUR 400 (Approx. Rs 36,000) starting price, it will compete with Nothing Phone 2, OnePlus 12R, and iQOO Neo 9 Pro, which offer significantly better specifications than the of HMD Tomcat.

HMD Project Fusion specifications (tipped)

Lastly, there is the HMD Project Fusion. Since it’s a ‘prototype’ model, it’s highly likely that the design and specifications of the device can significantly change before launch. The device will feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS display.

HMD Project Fusion

It will draw power from a Qualcomm QCM6490 SoC, which is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM. Moreover, it will pack a 4,800mAh battery with 30W charging support. At the rear, it will house a dual camera setup: 108MP primary and 2MP secondary.

While the pricing details of the device are still a mystery, taking an educated guess from the leaked specifications suggests that the HMD Project Fusion might be an entry-level device.
