HMD phones are making a lot of noise all over the internet but besides the Pulse series and Vibe (exclusive to the US), the company is yet to introduce another phone. The company recently confirmed to host a new event in India on July 25th. Now, a dedicated microsite on the HMD India website has gone live and this confirms the names: HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max.
HMD confirms the marketing names of its phones in India
- The dedicated microsite on the HMD website confirms the marketing names of the phones as Crest and Crest Max.
- Besides this, interested customers can sign up for updates from HMD and also be first to hear when they land later this month.
- Before this development, the company invited its followers to pick a marketing name for its first phone in India on X (formerly Twitter).
- Initially, it had settled on the Arrow marketing name but this was dropped later over a legal issue.
- Unfortunately, not much else is known about the phones at the moment but we want to believe the microsite might be updated with newer details shortly.
An earlier report said that HMD’s first phone in India will not be a rebrand of the Pulse series. Instead, it will have a brand-new design, upgraded specifications, 5G network support, and better optics. There are chances the HMD Crest/HMD Crest Max will be tailor-made for the Indian market.
The price details of the phones are under wraps at the moment, it could be priced under Rs 20,000 in the country. We should learn more details in the days to come.
