Google Pixel 9 series FCC details

  • The Pixel 9 series has been spotted on the US regulatory website FCC. The listing shows a total of eight models, according to a report by PhoneArena
  • While the listing doesn’t reveal which model number belongs to the Pixel 9 phones, the lineup is said to include all four of them, including the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
  • The FCC listing confirms the Pixel 9 series will come with 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, and UWB (Ultra Wideband). With all models equipped with UWB, this contradicts a previous rumour that the vanilla Pixel 9 won’t have this feature. UWB is used for accurate tracking and locating of nearby devices.
  • The Pixel 9 series will also come with support for Thread, an energy-saving protocol to control smart home devices.

Google Pixel 9 series: what we know so far

The Pixel 9 series is expected to launch on August 13th. The Google Tensor G4 chipset will most likely power the new Pixel 9 phones. Another report says that the Pixel 9 series will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, while the Fold will continue with an embedded sensor.

Recently, the alleged European pricing of the Pixel 9 series leaked online. According to this leak, Google seems to have increased the prices of the vanilla Pixel 9, especially for the 128GB and 256GB models, which now cost 40 Euros more than the Pixel 8. The Pixel 9 Pro’s 256GB and 512GB models also cost around 40 Euros more than the Pixel 8 Pro.
