Google Pixel 9 series is set to debut on August 13th, much ahead of the usual launch cycle in October. There have been multiple leaks and reports about the flagships in recent times. We’ve even encountered the alleged live video of the standard Pixel 9. Now, 91mobiles has exclusively spotted the Google Pixel 9 Pro camera details on the Camera FV5 certification.
Google Pixel 9 Pro camera details
The Camera FV5 certification shows the Google Pixel 9 Pro will have a 12.5MP camera. This should be marketed as 50MP (with Pixel-binning). The sensor will support OIS + EIS, 4080×3072 picture resolution, 25.4mm focal length, f/1.7 aperture, 70.7 horizontal FoV, 56.2 vertical FoV, and manual/autofocus.
However, details regarding the other sensors, including the front, are currently under wraps.
Google Pixel 9 Pro: what do we know so far?
The Google Pixel 9 Pro is expected to sit on top of the standard Pixel 9. The recent case leak of the phone suggested it will have flat edges and not so boxy design like the Pixel 8 lineup. The case also showed a horizontal camera module but this time it is not stretched until the edges like on the Pixel 8.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro is expected to sport a 6.1-inch FHD+ display with symmetrical bezels. It could be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset made by Samsung. Google will reportedly shift to a TSMC-made chip in 2025. The chipset could be paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB storage option.
The phone is expected to feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which is a significant upgrade over the optical sensors on the current models. As revealed by the Camera FV5, the primary camera sensor is a 50MP unit. The Pixel 9 Pro will also come with the new Google AI features, including a bunch of new and existing ML-based features like Studio, Microsoft Recall-Like Pixel screenshots, Add Me and others.
