Vivo Y28s 5G made its global debut last month. The smartphone was listed on the company’s global website with its complete specifications, but pricing details of the Vivo Y28s 5G weren’t revealed. Vivo has also yet to announce the India launch of the Y28s 5G but 91mobiles has received exclusive information on its pricing details.
Vivo Y28s 5G India price (leaked)
- Vivo Y28s 5G price in India will start at Rs 13,999, according to information revealed by tipster Sudhanshu. This is for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
- Vivo Y28s 5G will come in two more variants of 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB priced at Rs 15,499 and Rs 16,999.
- It’s not clear though if this is the box price or inclusive of offers. But we can still confirm that the Vivo Y28s 5G will be a mid-range phone priced under Rs 15,000.
- The Vivo Y28s 5G appears to be a slightly improved version of the Y28 that launched in India earlier this year. But there isn’t much of a difference between the two except for the chipset and the pricing is also around the same. We should get clarity once the phone debuts in India.
Vivo Y28s 5G India launch
Vivo is yet to tease the launch of the Y28s 5G in India. But with the leak out, we’re expecting an announcement soon. Along with the pricing details, we also got access to an image of the Vivo Y28s 5G in Mocha Brown confirming that it’s the same design. The smartphone comes in Twinkling Purple as well. It has a dated notch display with a shimmery back panel.
Vivo Y28s 5G specifications
Vivo Y28s 5G features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 840 nits of peak brightness. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card.
The smartphone houses a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash and a 2MP secondary camera. For selfies, you get an 8MP front camera on the Vivo Y28s 5G. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
On the software front, the Vivo Y28s 5G runs Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 custom skin out of the box. You also get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance on the Vivo Y28s 5G.
