Highlights
  • Vivo V40 renders show the phone in purple and grey/silver colour options.
  • The handset will succeed the Vivo V30 series, which launched earlier this year.
  • Vivo V40 will ship with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, as per our source.

Ahead of the impending Vivo V40 series’ launch globally, 91mobiles exclusively brings to you the phone’s European model’s renders and specifications, courtesy of tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore. This reveals the complete design of the phone ahead of the official announcement. The Vivo V40 series appears to be on the verge of getting launched considering the consistency of leaks in recent times. This will succeed the Vivo V30 lineup, which debuted in the country earlier this year.

Vivo V40 first look

  • As per renders shared by Sudhanshu, the Vivo V40 looks nothing like the Vivo V30.
  • We get a premium curved edge design on the front, with narrow bezels around the screen and a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter.
  • The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge.
  • Flipping the phone to the back, you see a large oval-shaped module, within which you a circular module to house dual-camera sensors and Zeiss branding as well.
  • Another oval-shaped module below the camera layout houses the smart Aura light and another cutout which seems to be a sensor, but details are a mystery at the moment.
  • The renders show the Vivo V40 in purple and grey/silver colour options.

Vivo V40 specs: these are the upgrades

Besides the renders, we also bring you key hardware specifications of the Vivo V40 as well.

  • As per our source, the Vivo V40 will sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2400X1080 pixels resolution. This is the same size as the predecessor.
  • The handset could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, which is again similar to the Vivo V30. The chipset could be paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
  • The Vivo V40 is expected to feature a 50MP primary camera and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The phone might house a 50MP shooter on the front for selfies. Interestingly enough, the camera setup is again similar to the predecessor.
  • The Vivo phone is likely to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The battery capacity is slightly bumped up from 5000mAh cell on the Vivo V30.
  • Connectivity options include dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
  • The Vivo phone is expected to run on Android 14 OS out of the box and feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. This is one-upping the Vivo V30 which only has IP54.
