CMF Phone 1 India price and specifications tipped; Super AMOLED display confirmed

CMF Phone 1 launch is right around the corner and the company is drip-feeding us key details about the phone through the Flipkart microsite. From this site, we have learned that CMF Phone 1 will sport a Super AMOLED display. A tipster has claimed the size, resolution and refresh rate of the panel along with other specifications of the device. Check them out.

CMF Phone 1 specifications (tipped)

Display: Per tipster Yogesh Brar, CMF Phone 1 will have a 6.7-inch sAMOLED LTPS screen with a 30-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to 2000 nits of peak brightness and FHD+ resolution. The phone could have an embedded fingerprint reader. From the image shared by CMF, we gather the bezels would be noticeable (somewhat like Nothing Phone (1)).
Cameras: It is said to have a 16MP selfie snapper, likely sitting within a central punch-hole cutout. On the other side, we could get a 50MP main camera (Sony sensor) and a depth sensor. There could be support for 4K30 FPS video recording, AI Vivid mode, and EIS (no OIS).
Processor: The phone could be running on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. According to Brar, this is touted as the “best SoC in the segment”.
Memory: It could hit the stores in 6/8GB RAM and 128GB storage. This could be backed by a 2TB expandable storage via microSD card.
Software: CMF could ship the device with Android 14 with 2 years of OS upgrades and 3 years of security patches. This could have a minimalist Nothing OS on top. This skin could be a pared-down version of what’s found on Nothing phones.
Battery: Under the hood, there could be a 5,000mAh cell with 33W fast charging support.
Others: Among other things, the phone could also bring IP52 water and dust resistance and mono speakers.

Some of these specs are different from what we had heard earlier. Initially, we thought the CMF Phone 1 had a 6.5-inch screen and a single rear camera. The new tip negates those rumours. Well, the battery, charging, and processor details match the previous rumours.

Then, we started hearing that Phone 1 could be a rebranded Nothing Phone (2a). But, again the similarities are few and far between.

CMF Phone 1 price in India

Brar claims the CMF Phone 1 could launch at Rs 15,999 for the 6+128GB model and Rs 17,999 for the 8+128GB model after introductory discounts. The same tipster had recently claimed the phone’s box price is Rs 19,999.

Even the pricing is a bit above our earlier expectations. We were expecting around Rs 12,000.

The rumour mill has also suggested a plastic body with Gorilla Glass on the front and no Glyph Interface on the back. The phone could be available in orange, white and black colours.

In any case, we suggest you take these rumours and leaks with a pinch of salt. We hope to have a better picture ahead of July 8th when the phone goes official.
