Homegrown wearables brand Boat is launching its second smart ring in the country with a price tag that almost doesn’t sound true. The new Boat Smart Ring Active has been teased on the brand’s social media pages, and we have info on the features that it will provide. The launch is this week, and the brand has already shared an unexpected price tag. Here’s all you need to know.

Boat Smart Ring price under Rs 3,000

Boat, on Instagram, posted that the Smart Ring Active will be available in the country at a special launch price of Rs 2,999. Customers can prebook the smart ring on July 18th through Amazon, Flipkart and the Boat website. Boat Smart Ring Active will be on sale starting July 20th.

The price is quite aggressive compared to the Boat Smart Ring Gen 1, which retails at Rs 8,999. The Smart Ring Gen 1 is currently out of stock on the company’s official online store, indicating a discontinuation to make way for the more affordable Smart Ring Active.

Boat Smart Ring features, colour options

Boat’s newest smart ring is confirmed to feature ‘Auto Health Monitoring.’ The feature will be powered by heart rate, SpO2, sleep, and stress monitoring sensors. The Boat Smart Ring Active will be available in three colour options: Black, Silver and Gold. It will also come in five different sizes, two more than what was offered with the Smart Ring Gen 1.

Boat is looking to create a breakthrough in the market with this pricing. Competitors such as Noise offer their smartwatch for as much as Rs 19,999. Another Smart Ring coming to India is the Amazfit Helio, which will debut at the Amazon Prime Day sale.

Meanwhile, Samsung and Ultrahuman are also focusing on premium offerings in the smart ring segment. To recall, Samsung’s Galaxy Ring has only launched in select markets at a $399 price tag, and it has no showcase planned in India as of now.
