What are Cinebench and Geekbench, and how do they work?
Cinebench
Cinebench is a benchmarking tool for PCs and laptops that measures a CPU’s capabilities by running extensive tests which involve rendering a complex 3D scene. Once the test is done, it provides single and multi-core scores which can be used to assess how powerful the processor is, especially for tasks like video editing and 3D animations. The latest version of Cinebench is Cinebench 2024 (R24).
Geekbench
Just like Cinebench, Geekbench is another benchmarking tool that gives users an idea of how capable or powerful their PC or laptop is by running extensive tests in the background. These include image processing, video encoding, physics simulations, and memory access. The score is delivered based on single-threaded and multi-threaded tasks.
