AMD has introduced its latest lineup of desktop and mobile processors at Computex 2024. The new processor lineup includes the Ryzen 9000 series chipsets for desktops and the AI 300 series chipsets for laptops. Let’s take a detailed look at AMD’s latest processor lineup below: 

AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors: specifications, features 

The new Ryzen 9000 series includes Ryzen 9 9950X, Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 9 9700X, and Ryzen 5 9600X CPUs. The lineup will launch in India starting July 2024, but the pricing details have not been revealed as of yet. The Socket AM5 motherboard family features two new chipsets, the AMD X870E and X870. The new chipset supports the latest technologies such as PCIe 5.0, DDR5, USB4, and Wi-Fi 7. The AM5 sockets will receive support up to 2027 and beyond.

AMD has also extended the support for the AM4 socket motherboards with the launch of two new Ryzen 5000 series processors. Unlike the new Ryzen 9000 series, these processors support PCIe 4.0 SSDs.

AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors: specs, features

The new Ryzen AI 300 series processors are designed for laptops and other mobile workstations and come with the latest XDNA 2 NPU and RDNA 3.5 integrated GPU. These processors are equipped with the latest AMD Radeon 800M series graphics to improve the onboard gaming capabilities.

There’s also a dedicated NPU chip inside of these processors with a peak processing speed of 50TOPs to ensure seamless AI enhancements and features. ACER has unveiled that its upcoming Swift series laptops will feature the Ryzen AI 300 series processors.
