IMDbNon Fiction | 2013 | Bobcat
Bobcat Goldthwait did all the throaty noises for Bigfoot.
The "one take" tent scene is 18 minutes long.
The idea for Willow Creek originated when Goldthwait visited the real Willow Creek with plans on making a "Christopher Guest-like" movie set during a Bigfoot convention. He decided that making fun of believers "wasn't a nice thing."
Shot in five days.
The script was essentially a twenty-five-page outline. Goldtwait figures nearly eighty percent of their dialogue is improvised.

"Jim: Hi, I'm Jim Kessel. I'm here at the Trinity National Forest along Route 96 also known as The Bigfoot Byway. I'm here with my girlfriend Kelly Monteleone where we plan on retracing the famed 1967 Patterson Gimlin footage, and our search for Bigfoot. [pause] Jim: What's that face? Kelly: Just... it's your thing, just make it about... you. You know, no girlfriend, my name, all that. Jim: You don't want to be in the movie and now you're Stanley fuckin' Kubrick."
"Jim: Are you a believer?"
