Netflix acquired the worldwide rights to Alanna Brown's drama Trees Of Peace, and it will be released in 191 countries in 22 languages in the summer of 2022.
As of June 15, within 5 days of premiering as a Netflix Original, "Trees Of Peace" reached the Top 2 in France and Bolivia, Top 3 in 14 countries, Top 5 in 35 countries, the Top 10 in 60 countries, including the Top 9 spot in the USA. "Trees Of Peace" also reached the number 4 position for Top Movies Worldwide alongside the basketball film "Hustle" produced by Adam Sandler and Lebron James, starring Adam Sandler, as well as Jennifer Lopez's documentary "Halftime." This is a major milestone and achievement for such a small budget, independent film.
When the nutritionist quit the night before shooting started on Trees Of Peace, lead Executive Producer Michelle Ray, who is an IFBB Fitness Pro, stepped in and created a balanced meal plan for the four lead actresses. Then she proceeded to prepare their meals daily and got the four actresses to lose between 12 to 20 lbs in 20 days safely. She managed to do this while holding down a full-time job as head of Business Development for a visual effects company and managing meetings with Disney, Sony, Marvel, etc., and doing her job as an EP during the shooting.
Executive Producer Denise Bradley, actress Charmaine Bingwa, and Producer Mike Bundlie wrote the beautiful end-credit song "Remember Our Names". The song was produced by Denise Bradley, Mike Bundlie, Lee Curreri, and Barry Levine. The song was performed by Haley J. Perkins and Clarisse Karasira.
Writer/Director Alanna Brown was on the prestigious Hollywood Blacklist in 2018 for a different script, THE 29TH ACCIDENT, prior to meeting Ron Ray who produced Trees Of Peace.
