TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

During a break from rehearsals in Toronto, Luke Mably (Eddie) and Ben Miller (Eddie's valet, Soren) went out while in character to the Four Seasons and convinced everyone that Mably was the Prince of Denmark. They were demanding tea and cake and had six waiters around them, bowing.

During the release of this movie, the real heir to the Danish throne, Kronprins Frederik, married his Australian fiancee Mary Donaldson, a commoner, later known as Kronprinsesse Mary.

The driver that Eddie races with at the start of the film is Eddie Irvine, a professional race car driver in real life.

The couple Paige and Prince Edvard, seem a bit like the real heir to the Danish throne Kronprins Frederik and his wife Kronprinsesse Mary. Both Paige and Kronprinsesse Mary love to help others. And both couples go against traditions. Just like Paige, the real Kronprinsesse Mary didn't know Kronprins Frederik was of royal blood when she met him for the first time.

The cabdriver, who takes Paige to the royal parade, when she has just arrived in Copenhagen is a Danish actor, Jesper Asholt. He shouts in Danish out of the window: "Få så røven med jer deroppe!" = "Move your asses up there!"

Popular Dialogues

"Paige: Denmark isn't ready for a Queen like me. Eddie: Well then they'll have to be. Because I am."

"Soren: The chances of a relationship between yourself and Miss Paige are not promising. You two are of a completely different caliber. Eddie: Soren, just cause she isn't royalty doesn't mean she's not important. Soren: The higher caliber I was referring to, sir, was hers."
