TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The film was produced on a tiny budget, and was financed through crowd funding.

Was filmed in and around Headford in county Galway in the west of Ireland with support from the local population. Actors and crew were put up in private homes and often driven around by their hosts.

The patrons of the local pub and people appearing in the GAA football scene are locals of the town where filming took place.

The film makers wanted to produce an Irish romantic comedy without all the twee stereotypes of Hollywood Irishness. They tried to include many of the realities of life in Ireland in the 2010s, in the time after the economic downturn, while still aiming for an all round feel good factor.

"Ath Cinn" (as seen on the wall of the GAA club) is the Irish name for Headford in County Galway.

Popular Dialogues

"Una Blake: This is important. Family is important."

"Una Blake: [to Fionn's girl] And you must be Tiffany. Fionn O'Brien: Lauren. Una Blake: Oh, I'm so sorry Lauren. It's so hard to keep up."
