When Bron explains to Littlefoot how he was absent during the first few years of Littlefoot's life, he mentions how an old dinosaur informed him that his wife had been killed by the Sharptooth. He could very well be referring to Rooter, the old Clubtail who consoled Littlefoot after his mother's death in the original Land Before Time (1988) film.
Littlefoot's mother who appears in a flashback scene in this movie is blue, but in the first movie she was brown.
The multi-color dolphin that leaps out of the water for a brief moment is Mo from The Land Before Time IX: Journey to Big Water (2002).
