  • Story:
Aussie adventurer Steve Irwin aka The Crocodile Hunter has avoided the death-roll and nabbed another feisty croc, hoping to save it from poachers. What Steve doesn't know is that the crocodile has innocently swallowed a top secret US satellite beacon, and the poachers are actually American special agents sent to retrieve it. Crikey! In the Outback and through the bush with his wife Terri's ever-present commentary ringing out over the countryside ("That was a close one, Steve!"), the Crocodile Hunter is out to save the gorgeous croc and relocate him. It won't be easy, but if he can handle bird-eating spiders and venomous snakes without getting bitten, gun-wielding agents shouldn't be too much of a problem.

TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

There were no scripts used in the "documentary" portions of this movie, whatever Steve Irwin and Terri Irwin said was off the top of their heads. All stunts were performed, just like on The Crocodile Hunter (1996), by Steve himself.

Brozzie's husband in her wedding photo on the mantle and other pictures in her house is Wes Mannion, Steve Irwin's best friend and Director of Australia Zoo.

The crocs used in the film are all live wild caught crocs caught by Steve Irwin himself. "Bindi": scene where Brozzie falls from the tree into the lake"Monty": when Steve first discovers the croc on land"Charlie": boat in the middle of the lake prior to capture"Graham": final capture scene.

The Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios logo in this film has a crocodile doing the lion roar. The film's trailer was a discussion of the lion in the classic MGM logo, and then leads up to the crocodile in the logo.

David Wenham worked with Lachy Hulme in the Australian Mini Series, Romper Stomper.

Popular Dialogues

"Steve Irwin: G'day! I'm Steve Irwin! You might know me as the Crocodile Hunter! Have a look at this little beauty, will ya? [appears at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios logo] Steve Irwin: This is an African lion! Oh, I'm in no danger, he's become a Hollywood lion! He's been sitting in this MGM logo for 77 years! Tough job, mate. Of course, in my new movie, The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course, we make this bloke look like a real pussycat! Yeah, the lion may be the apex predator in Africa, but in Australia, crocs rule! Everything about Collision Course is big, REAL BIG! But there's one big problem... [to the Lion] Steve Irwin: It's you, mate! He's too tame! Come on, get out of there ya little devil! [a crocodile now appears in the MGM logo] Steve Irwin: Crikey! Now that's more like it! Steady, mate, steady..."

"President George Walker Bush: [on the phone] You mean that guy in the Khaki Shorts? That dude from the Discovery Channel?"
