Not actually a TV movie, but a pilot made for Amazon that was not picked up to series even though 8 additional episodes were originally ordered but later canceled due to creative differences between the showrunner Chris Carter and the Amazon studio.
The showrunner Chris Carter said his plan for the show was to adapt Dante's Inferno and turn the 99 segments (or cantos) of that book into 99 episodes of the show. However, he didn't develop the mythology or the extended plot arcs for the Amazon studio so the studio eventually decided that the concept was too untested and expensive to invest in after all.
