TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Liam Neeson was so eager to be in the film that he signed on without having read the script.

Ewan McGregor recalled that his performance in the film consisted of "walking into rooms and looking up".

During filming, Ewan McGregor made lightsaber noises as he dueled. George Lucas explained many times that the sound effects would be added in by the special effects people later on. Ewan said "I kept getting carried away."

Qui-Gon Jinn's communicator is a redecorated Gillette Sensor Excel Razor for Women.

Keira Knightley's parents tried to convince her not to audition, but the twelve-year-old actress still sought a role, given she was a Star Wars fan.

Popular Dialogues

"Obi-Wan: But Master Yoda says I should be mindful of the future. Qui-Gon Jinn: But not at the expense of the moment."

"Yoda: How feel you? Anakin: Cold, sir. Yoda: Afraid are you? Anakin: No, sir. Yoda: See through you we can. Mace Windu: Be mindful of your feelings. Ki-Adi-Mundi: Your thoughts dwell on your mother. Anakin: I miss her. Yoda: Afraid to lose her I think, hmm? Anakin: What has that got to do with anything? Yoda: Everything! Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you."
