TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Two of the runaway daughters' parents are played by actual married couples: Roger and Julie Corman and Christopher and Dee Wallace Stone.

There are several homages to the original 1956 film this move is based upon. At a movie theater there is a poster for the original movie. After the girls leave town they stop at a gas station. The company name over the gas pump is "American International" Petroleum. This name and the company's logo is identical to the company that released the original film.

A Naked Paradise (1957) poster hangs inside the Skyline Drive-In movie theater. Dick Miller ("Roy Farrell") also starred in that movie.

A Rock All Night (1957) poster hangs inside the Skyline Drive-In movie theater. Dick Miller ("Roy Farrell") also starred in that movie.

Jimmy at one point demands a character "Quit crowdin' me." This is a line said repeatedly by the protagonist of the B-movie Speed Crazy (1959), clips of which are heavily featured in Joe Dante and Jon Davison's The Movie Orgy (1968).

Popular Dialogues

"Mr. Nicholson: [over loud speaker at drive-in theater] Snack bar is closing in five minutes. Just five more minutes for those shrimp rolls. They're shrimply delicious! [takes a bite of one, chews, then grimaces]"
