TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Corey Haim did most of his own stunts in the film.

78 black shirts were used in rotation for the rollerboys uniforms due to how sweaty they became during filming.

In the UK, this was the first film to have been released theatrically by First Independent, which was formerly Vestron UK.

Corey Haim and Christopher Collet had worked previously together, in the film Firstborn.

W. Peter Iliff, who penned the screenplay for this movie, describes it as follows: "A CLOCKWORK ORANGE meets BLADE RUNNER via LORD OF THE FLIES". Aptly enough, Iliff went on to create the short-lived television series BLADE SQUAD.

Popular Dialogues

"Gary Lee: [opening narration, which also turns out to be a PATTON-esque Rollerboy-recruiting commercial] Before many of you were born, our parents caused the Great Crash. They were consumed with greed. They ignored repeated warnings, and borrowed more money than they could ever repay. They lost our farms, lost our factories, lost our homes. Alien races foreclosed on our nation while we... We were locked in homeless camps. Now America belongs to the enemy. Forget your parents. They didn't care about us. We are the New Generation, and we are the Remedy. You need a new family, a family that cares. The Rollerboys care. Join with us. Let us be your Strength. Let us be your Warriors. Help the White Army win back our homeland. The Day of the Rope is coming."

"Griffin: [afterGriffin and Miltie have joined the Rollerboys, much to Speedbagger's obvious dismay] Speedbagger... Don't hate me, okay? Speedbagger: I don't hate nobody, son. Hate does more harm than good; it's the root of all evil. That, along with poverty... And wolves make great pets, don't they? So long as that ain't YOUR sheep they're eating... I just hope there's something left of what I saw in you two boys. Griffin: Well, we love you very much. Speedbagger: I don't want your LOVE! I just want you to THINK about what you're DOING! Please!"
