One of the most insane full motion video games from the 90's edited into one NINETY MINUTE MOVIE! Written and designed by horror writer Lorelei Shannon, Phantasmagoria 2: A PUZZLE OF FLESH is a narratively unrelated follow-up to the best-selling title by graphical adventure pioneer Roberta WIlliams (King's Quest). Notorious for its "obscene content" that saw the game heavily censored or outright banned in several countries, Puzzle of Flesh had the player help the introverted Curtis Craig navigate a psychological breakdown while working at a predictably sinister pharmaceutical company. Dark secrets, sexual exploration and inter-dimensional twists abound! Experience much of the game's craziest moments and outrageous gore condensed into a coherent*, freaky and funny narrative. *Well, as coherent as the actual plot of the game.

TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

At the beginning of Chapter 3, Curtis receives in mail a promotion postcard for Adrienne Delaney's new book "Coping with Loss". Adrienne Delaney is the protagonist of the first Phantasmagoria (1995).

Two complex sequences were scripted for the game, but both ended up cut for different reasons. One would've involved Curtis escaping from the mental hospital and the other would've involved Curtis swimming in a river in the alien world. The game developers lost access to the filming location where the chase sequence was going to be shot, and had no backup, so the scene got cut. The river scene was cut due to space limitations on the fifth disc and was never produced.

Don Berg (who played Bob) admitted in an interview his character was originally scripted to have more interaction with the other characters, including a scene where he's sucking up to his boss, but these were trimmed from the script before filming began.

Cast members Ragna Sigrun and Todd Licea were married in real life while filming.

V. Joy Lee (who plays the role of the lunatic Ratwoman) also played in the first Phantasmagoria (1995).

Popular Dialogues

"Curtis Craig: Hey, bud. How was your second date with the mysterious "Jay," huh? Trevor Barnes: A dud. Big time! I mean, once I got past the sexy eyes, the gorgeous cheekbones, I saw the squid beneath the skin! Curtis Craig: Oh, what a drag! Trevor Barnes: You're telling me! He spent half the evening picking apart Bela Lugosi's acting, and the other half staring at his own bad self in the bathroom mirror! Curtis Craig: He doesn't like Bela? Trevor Barnes: Mmm, mmm. Curtis Craig: Well piss on him, then!"

"Jocilyn Rowan: Are you alright, Curtis? You're acting really weird. Curtis Craig: Oh geez, I'm sorry, Joce! I guess finding disembowled dead guys in my cubicle just throws me right the fuck off!"
