Robert Wagner was originally cast in the Hugh Hefner role, but when the rough cut was screened for Hefner's approval, he was so amused by the film that he agreed to play himself. As a result, all of Wagner's scenes had to be scrapped and re-shot.
In the early scene at the "Abstinence Now" seminar, some of Raquel Alessi's (Cindi Whitehall's) lines were dubbed over for the movie's final release. Originally, the story she told on stage prominently featured the word "retard", referring to a baby that was born to an illegitimate mother who smoked. Due to concerns over bad press, the word was changed to "crackhead".
Playboy had no involvement with the film until Hugh Hefner was invited to watch an unfinished cut with Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore.
The Playboy issue in which Cindi appears as "Miss March" is actually the October 2005 issue. The cover model is Sara Jean Underwood, who appears in the film as herself.
Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore started working on the film after Fox offered the duo a film deal. Cregger and Moore re-wrote the script as well.
"Tucker Cleigh: Well the country is like, what, 10 states wide? And each state is roughly 100 miles across. So that's like 1000 miles. We're going about 60 miles an hour, so we should be there in like 600 minutes."
"Horsedick.MPEG: When you give something to a bitch, they don't do nothin' but take. That's why I don't give 'em nothin' but the dick. 'Cause they can't take that away. You'll see. Tomorrow at the mansion I'ma run the train on seven, eight, nine, ELEVEN o' them honeys! Ain't a Playmate there I ain't tagged yet."
