Tim McVey's accomplishments gained him a spot as a charter member of the U.S. National Video Game Team. In 2015, he joined with friend Patrick Scott Patterson to revive the concept. They were awarded the trademark in March 2016.
While some critics call this film an unofficial sequel to The King of Kong, this movie was actually in production prior to the date the King of Kong was released.
MS-DOS 5.0, released in June of 1991, featured a game called Nibbles, written in QBasic and embedded in the software. It was a game in which a snake moved around a board eating numbers 1 to 9 and getting longer. The game ended when the snake ran into itself, another optional player controlled 2nd snake, or hit a wall.
