TRIVIA

Trivia

Before Heather Graham had decided on returning for her role as Corrine, rumors speculated that Goldie Hawn would be taking over the role.

Heather Graham plays the mother of Rachael Carpani and Jason Lewis, despite being only 11 years older than Carpani and 2 years older than Lewis.

Based on a book written by V.C. Andrews, "If There Be Thorns" third in a set of five novels. The Dollanganger series is told through four movies, one for each book of the same title: "Flowers in the Attic", followed by "Petals on the Wind", "If There Be Thorns" and then "Seeds of Yesterday". The fifth and last book of the saga "Garden of Shadows" takes place before the "Flowers in the Attic" events. No movie came of it (January 2017).

In order to achieve a timeless cinematic look, cinematographer James Liston utilized vintage anamorphic lenses to create more depth and atmosphere in the images.

Mason Cook (Bart) used Malcolm Foxworth's journal to gauge his actions in this movie; in the TV show The Night Shift he guest-stars as a little boy named Malcolm who fell into a well.
