Trivia

Scrooge asks the boys if kids still like marbles. This is a joke as marbles are rarely played nowadays, but in the original DuckTales (1987) series the nephews were accomplished marbles players.

In the Wing of Secrets, the following items are seen: The Giant Golden Sun Coin from the DuckTales (1987) five-part pilot "Treasure of the Golden Suns"The head of Armstrong the robot from DuckTales: Armstrong (1987)A skeleton of a caveman and a triceratops, a homage to Bubba and Tootsie from DuckTales (1987)The genie's lamp from DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp (1990).

Dewey attempts to take the houseboat to Cape Suzette, the city where TaleSpin (1990) took place.

A character resembling Roxanne from A Goofy Movie (1995) makes an appearance as a job candidate. Another, very similar character (possibly the same character?) also appears as a reporter toward the end of the episode.

Glomgold (Keith Ferguson) claims to be "more Scottish" than Scrooge (David Tennant). Ferguson is American, and Tennant really IS from Scotland.
