Dan Istrate who plays French-Romanian character, Jacques St. Germaine, is actually from Transylvania, Romania.

During pre-production, Director Kevin Good had 17 visual effects shots planned to help bring Old New Orleans to life. After going through post production, the visual effects number ballooned to over 150 shots, all done by Kevin Good and his brother, Paul Good.
