Die Gest: Flesh Eater (2018) was originally conceived in 2015 as 'Die-Gest: Flesh Feast' by filmmaker Dan Brownlie of Brand-B Productions after the planned sequel to Self Induced Nightmares (2013) fell through, however the production was eventually handed over to Tony Newton to complete.
An early concept for Die Gest: Flesh Eater (2018) was to feature a TV 'horror host', dressed as a chef, who would introduce each segment, this concept was abandoned after production delays forced a quick turnaround on the post-production.
