"Detective Nick Rodriguez: I've known you since I moved here, Mr. Jacobs. I've always respected you. Why didn't you want your wife to call us? Mr. Jacobs: Nick, do you have a boss that takes off $3.85 when you're ten minutes late? Detective Nick Rodriguez: That's not legal. Mr. Jacobs: No, I know. Go tell my boss. Three dollars and eighty-five cents when I'm ten minutes late, That's an hour's pay. Now look, if we had seen this man that attacked that woman, we would have to identify him, right? That right? Detective Nick Rodriguez: Yeah. Right. I certainly hope so. Mr. Jacobs: That would mean going downtown and going in some place. And standing around... waiting... waiting... waiting. Waiting is money. And money is something that won't wait... when you need it. Which everybody does."
