The film was created specifically with Robert Bronzi in mind, due to his physical similarity to the late Charles Bronson. This allowed the filmmakers to create a film in the mold of the famous Death Wish series, which Charles Bronson starred in on five separate occasions.
The character of Tyrell was specifically written for Richard Tyson to play.
Ana's house is actually the home of writer/director Rene Perez.
Even though this movie is called "Death Kiss", it's clearly a spoof on Death Wish(1974). To make a fare comparison, Charles Bronson was 53 years old in death wish and Bronzi was approx 62 years old when this movie came out. Even though the plots are slightly different, they still have a few things in common(I. E taking the law into their own hands) one could argue that this movie is a retelling of Death Wish but also a re-imagining.
