Park Jiyeon, along with fellow T-ara members Ham Eunjung and Jeon Boram acted in the Death Bell series. Jeon Boram can be seen making cameo appearances, however she only had one line in the whole film.
Actors Son Hojun and Kwon Hyunsang previously appeared in Death Bell 1. However, they both play completely different characters from their characters in the previous films; Kwon Hyunsang's character JK in Death Bell 2 is even more cocky, arrogant and aggressive, and seems to have a playboy-like personality, whereas in Death Bell 1 his character Jaewook was not as arrogant as in Death Bell 2. Son Hojun's character Park Jungbum in Death Bell 2 was not at all disturbed like Jo Beom in Death Bell 1, but rather calm and composed throughout most of the film.
Despite the film having a similar title to the original Death Bell, both stories are unrelated to each other. However, the films both have the characters answering questions in a "Saw" movie-like atmosphere.
