Steven Seagal's character does not speak until 48 minutes into the film.
Code of Honor was filmed entirely in the state of Utah. This was Steven Seagal's first time filming in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Considered one of the best, if not the best, of Steven Seagal's late direct-to-video movies, thanks to good production values and a fine relationship with Seagal and the cast members. It is said that Craig Sheffer and Seagal enjoyed working together so much that they would act in another project in the near future, "The Tip of the Spear" being most likely. Seagal also bonded with actress Helena Mattsson, who immediately had his utmost respect when he learned that not only she enjoys martial arts and takes time to attend and cheer for friends at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments in the LA area, she also practices Judo since a teenager, and remains active to this day (Mattsson is brown belt at LA Tenri Judo Dojo).
"Colonel Robert Sikes: *After saving Porter* What's wrong with you, man? You're slippin'. What, you can't check your six? William Porter: Robert. Colonel Robert Sikes: Just like old times, huh? Me saving your life and your hooker girl flying up into the wind. William Porter: How about this? You do what you do, I do what I do. We'll see who comes out on top. Colonel Robert Sikes: I appreciate you killing some of the bad guys, that was nice of you. William Porter: Oh, I'm gonna stop you, boy. Colonel Robert Sikes: I wanted to ask you something. Would you give your life to save the world, if nobody knew you did it? William Porter: ... Colonel Robert Sikes: See, that's the difference between you and me. And you're not telling me when we'll settle anything. I'm gonna dictate the time. Tomorrow, midnight, Devil's Garden, come alone."
