This film was a Canadian project intended to be filmed on location in Drummondville and St-Cyrille-de-Wendover, Quebec, Canada, but ended up by being filmed on location in Puerto Rico, with an entirely different cast and crew, and a story very different from the original project.
Olivia's name could be a reference to real MMA UFC and strikeforce veteran Jason Mayhem Miller. When introduced by Bear she announces "Olivia Mayhem Miller". Olivia has her hair dyed green and black like Jason Mayhem Miller, he dyed his hair various colors such as pink, red and green etc and was known for his crazy antics in and outside the ring.
