TRIVIA

Trivia

Set three months after the events of Miranda that are shown in the film Serenity (2005).

The project officially ended on Labor Day weekend, 2011, a year after the film's release. By this time it had raised over $105,000 (not including production cost coverage) to be distributed evenly among its five choice charities.

Kevin Troy's character, 'Lux Lucre,' is named after the screen name of devoted Browncoat Kerry Pearson, who died of complications from diabetes shortly before the release of Serenity (2005). (During the Fisher's Pub scene, the bartender mentions to Lux his fight with "Kerry 'Nice Guy' Pearson" some years prior.)

Shot in 10 Days.

Michael C. Dougherty and Steven Fisher first pitched the idea for the film to droves of "Firefly" fans at Dragon*Con in 2008. So great was the fans' enthusiasm that Dougherty and Fisher immediately went ahead with the script, obtaining the blessings of Fox Network, Universal Studios and Joss Whedon by pledging the film's proceeds to charity. Principal photography began in April of 2009.
