Many stunts the teams perform at the competition, like fly-overs and stunts more than two bodies high, are illegal at high school level, according to the National Federation Interscholastic Spirit Association.
Hayden Panettiere and Danielle Savre also played cheerleaders in the TV series Heroes (2006).
In the scene where Camille is watching Pacific Vista practicing on 'Cheer TV' they are actually showing clips of behind the scenes footage (which can be seen in the DVD bonus features). Emme Rylan (Winnie) still has her brownish/reddish hair in the clips. Right before filming began she had to dye her hair blonde. You can also see Hayden Panettiere (Britney) in the 'Cheer TV' clips as well.
