TRIVIA

Trivia

Smith, Dunne, Preston, Wisniewski, Armes, Phillips, and O'Duffy were not career actors but actual footballers, or children pursuing careers in association football or having it as a hobby, around the time this movie was made. Clarke, on the other hand, also had a local-football background and pursued a minor career in acting.

Before the end credits, there is biographical info on Sir Matt Busby's life and followup on the youth football team members' achievements.

During filming, Harry and Jack Armes became attached to the Golden Retrievers 'Baz' and 'Tup' shown with the dog walker, and as soon as the director shouted "Cut!" they quickly returned to petting them.
