STORY AND RATINGS
Story
The movie "Aseq" introduces us to the realm of Jinns known as "Aseq" (from whence the term "Aashiq" is derived), who, when fascinated on a person, develop an intense romantic attachment that can be difficult to overcome. Although the writing has a good intellectual foundation, it falls short since it does not adequately convey the fascinating subject. As Lail in "Aseq," Sonnalli Seygall gives a respectable performance. She is most known for her roles in romantic comedies like "Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety" and "Pyaar Ka Punchnama," but she portrays a remarkably different character in this film. It might occasionally be challenging to connect with Seygall's other side of personality because of how attractive she seems on film. Vardhan Puri, Siddhant Kapoor, and Adi Chugh, the friend's trio, do a good job in their respective roles. On the other hand, the lack of character development makes it challenging for the audience to empathise with them. Aseq may not meet up to expectations of delivering horrors or pioneering new territory in the spooky genre, despite its interesting idea of Jinns and their fixation. Even so, it has considerable value and may be regarded as a one-off watch.
