The footage for "Valkyrie's Bunker" was stolen. The person who let the director use his camera, kept the drive with all the files. It took the director 10 months to find and recover the lost footage. Many of the shots and scenes were deleted, resulting in a shorter than expected segment.
The director made friends with YouTubers Brendan Mitchell (aka: WetMovie1) and Gabriel Mercado (aka: HeroSuper99). He decided to change "Assacre" to more of a "relaxed" vlog style with Brendan and Gabe in starring roles. Shawn C. Phillips (aka: Coolduder) was supposed to star in it too, but had a conflicting schedule.
"Valkyrie's Bunker" was filmed at Murphy's Ranch in The Santa Monica Mountains. The ranch was built in the 1930's and was actually designed as a base for Nazi activities. The compound had a water storage tank, a fuel tank, a bomb shelter, and various outbuildings and bunkers - now completely covered in graffiti. After production was kicked out by Park Rangers, the pick up shots and additional filming were done at The Old Zoo in Griffith Park, CA.
Much of the same cast was re-used in "Hog Hunters" from the director's first film "Dead Kansas". Aaron Guerrero, who played Glenn in "Dead Kansas" returned as Gio in the "An Hour To Kill" hit man wrap-around segment.
The "An Hour To Kill" wraparound story with the two hit-man was the last of the mini-stories to be filmed. The director wanted to wait until he found the perfect cast and locations for the segment.
