InSight is a thriller that sticks with you long after the credits roll. The story begins with the brutal attack of Allison Parks, and we follow Kaitlyn, one of the nurses trying to save her life. Kaitlyn believes Allison is trying to communicate with her before Allison dies from her wounds, and the electricity from the defibrillator knocks out Kaitlyn. She then begins to see memories from Allison's life or so we are led to believe. The film's uniqueness lies in how the story is told, slowly revealing more information while leaving the audience to question what is real and what is only in Kaitlyn's mind. The skeptical detective, Kaitlyn's sick mother, a sleazy psychiatrist, and Allison's ex-boyfriend all add to the mystery. Director Richard Gabai allows the audience to piece together the clues along with the characters. The ending leaves interpretation up to the audience, making it a great film to discuss with friends.
